It’s the Monday after Mother’s Day and I want to just reaffirm all our ladies today. It would be impossible for most household and churches to even function, much less survive, without the ladies in it. We are blessed to have so many wonderful women in our church. I am personally blessed to have wonderful women in my life with my wife being at the top of the list. Thanks Ladies!!It’s the Monday after Mother’s Day and I want to just reaffirm all our ladies today. It would be impossible for most household and churches to even function, much less survive, without the ladies in it. We are blessed to have so many wonderful women in our church. I am personally blessed to have wonderful women in my life with my wife being at the top of the list. Thanks Ladies!!

Have you ever imagined what your life would be like without God in it? Would you miss Him? Would you even notice? Other than those who go to church regularly would your day or week be any different if God was no longer a part of your life? I think it is good for us to stop sometimes and just re-evaluate our faith. Is church just a building you go to because you know you are supposed to? Do you pull out your Bible every now and then in hopes that you might invoke some magic formula for God to make your day go better? Do you find that the vast majority of your prayers are about you and your problems or your loved ones? Our walk with God has to be intentional. It has to be real. It has to be meaningful. It should be exciting. It should be at the very core of our lives. Like I mentioned yesterday, our lives should be like a wheel where God is at the core and everything else revolves around that and like spokes they are reliant on the core for everything.

But not only do we have to live intentionally and with purpose for this to happen but we also must live with passion. Some of you are saying right now . . . “passion? I haven’t been passionate about anything except Whataburger in a long time!” But our faith must be what drives us. It must be what gets us up in the morning. It must be the fuel for our lives. It must be that thing which gives us purpose. The world says, no you need a new car to give you passion. You need a new relationship. You need another exotic trip. You need a large stuffed-crust pizza with as much meat as possible (sorry, that one’s mine). But cars break and relationships sour and pizza can make you fat. But God is the one who walks with us and talks with us and gives our lives meaning and purpose. He just asks that we are passionate in our walk with Him. We need to talk to Him regularly (prayer) and we need to listen for Him to talk to us (Read your Bible) and we need to be obedient to His word. His word tells us to meet together. It tells us to give our tithe. It gives us a recipe for living but we have to follow it passionately. First and foremost, it tells us to make disciples. And to worship Him.

There are so many ways God challenges us. Imagine what life would be like without Him. I can imagine. I imagine a life very different than the one I live. Not just because of my job but because my whole life revolves around Him. And when I need help in one area, when one spoke gets worn and crooked, I go back to the core and ask for His help and His strength. Today, I challenge you to strengthen that core. Rely on that core. And He will make your life stronger and better and more complete!

Don’t forget this coming Sunday is Graduate Recognition in the morning and then that evening we will be having a special fellowship for Hope and Jon Blair as they prepare to move to OKC. We love them and we will miss them but we know God has big things planned for them!

I am ON MISSION Today! Are You?

Blessings
