Bible Readings for Q1 2026

WEEK OF JANUARY 5 – CALLED TO PROCLAIM

Monday – Jeremiah 1:4–10

God’s call is rooted in His purpose, not our preparedness.

Jeremiah’s calling began before his birth, reminding us that God’s plans are never accidental. Jeremiah objects because of his youth, but God responds with a promise of presence, not a demand for confidence. When God calls, He does not wait for us to feel ready—He makes us ready as we obey.

Prayer:
Lord, help me trust that Your calling rests on Your strength, not mine.

Tuesday – Exodus 3:1–12

God often calls us in ordinary moments.

Moses encounters God while doing routine work. God interrupts the ordinary to reveal holy purpose. What matters most is not Moses’ ability but God’s promise: “I will be with you.” That same assurance fuels our obedience today.

Prayer:
God, help me notice when You are speaking in everyday moments.

Wednesday – Isaiah 6:1–8

God cleanses before He commissions.

Isaiah’s vision of God exposes his sin but also provides forgiveness. God never sends us unchanged—He transforms us first. Grace always precedes obedience.

Prayer:
Holy God, cleanse my heart and shape me for Your mission.

Thursday – Ezekiel 2:1–7

Faithfulness matters more than visible success.

God tells Ezekiel that people may not listen, but obedience is still required. Faithfulness is measured by trust, not results. God values obedience even when it feels ineffective.

Prayer:
Lord, give me courage to obey even when outcomes are unclear.

Friday – Matthew 28:16–20

God’s mission is sustained by God’s presence.

Jesus sends His followers with a command and a promise. We go not alone but accompanied by Christ Himself. Obedience flows from relationship.

Prayer:
Jesus, help me live today knowing You are always with me.

WEEK OF JANUARY 12 – BROKEN CISTERNS

Monday – Jeremiah 2:1–8

Abandoning God always leads to emptiness.

God grieves that His people traded living water for broken cisterns. Sin often promises satisfaction but delivers drought. God alone is the source of life.

Prayer:
Lord, reveal where I have sought life apart from You.

Tuesday – Psalm 36:5–9

God is the fountain of life.

This psalm contrasts human brokenness with God’s faithful love. True satisfaction is found only in Him. God does not ration grace—He invites us to drink deeply.

Prayer:
God, help me trust You as my true source of life.

Wednesday – Isaiah 55:1–3

God freely offers what truly satisfies.

God invites the thirsty to come without cost. Grace is not earned; it is received. Our souls find rest when we listen and return.

Prayer:
Lord, help me come to You with humility and hunger.

Thursday – John 4:10–14

Jesus offers living water that lasts.

Jesus exposes the temporary nature of earthly satisfaction. What He gives satisfies eternally. True fulfillment begins with trusting Him.

Prayer:
Jesus, teach me to seek lasting life in You alone.

Friday – Revelation 21:1–6

God restores what sin has broken.

God promises a future where thirst, pain, and loss are gone. The living water flows freely in His presence. Hope reshapes how we live today.

Prayer:
God, anchor my hope in Your promised restoration.

WEEK OF JANUARY 19 – RELIGION WITHOUT REPENTANCE

Monday – Jeremiah 7:1–11

God desires obedience, not empty worship.

God confronts people who trusted religious rituals without changed hearts. True worship flows from repentance and faith. God calls us to honest devotion.

Prayer:
Lord, search my heart and renew sincere worship in me.

Tuesday – Psalm 51:1–6

Repentance begins with honesty before God.

David’s prayer reminds us that confession is not fear-driven but grace-filled. God desires truth in the inward being.

Prayer:
God, create in me a clean heart.

Wednesday – Micah 6:6–8

God values justice, mercy, and humility.

True worship is lived out in everyday obedience. God’s expectations are relational, not ritualistic.

Prayer:
Lord, help me walk humbly and love mercy today.

Thursday – Matthew 23:23–28

External righteousness cannot replace internal change.

Jesus rebukes religious hypocrisy. God desires transformed hearts, not polished appearances.

Prayer:
Jesus, expose and heal any hypocrisy in my life.

Friday – James 1:22–27

Faith must be lived, not just heard.

God’s Word calls for action. Obedience is the evidence of genuine faith.

Prayer:
Lord, help me live out what I believe.

WEEK OF JANUARY 26 – RESHAPED FOR HIS PURPOSE

Monday – Jeremiah 18:1–6

God patiently shapes His people for His purposes.

Jeremiah watches the potter reshape flawed clay, revealing God’s sovereignty and care. The clay is not discarded but reworked. God does not abandon us when we are marred—He reshapes us with intention and grace.

Prayer:
Lord, help me trust Your hands as You shape my life.

Tuesday – Isaiah 64:6–8

God is the potter; we are the clay.

Isaiah acknowledges human weakness while affirming God’s authority. Our hope rests not in our perfection but in God’s craftsmanship. Surrender invites transformation.

Prayer:
God, soften my heart to Your shaping work.

Wednesday – Romans 9:19–24

God’s mercy defines our story.

Paul reminds us that God’s purposes are greater than our understanding. God’s patience reveals His mercy, not His absence. Trust grows when we remember who God is.

Prayer:
Lord, help me trust Your wisdom even when I don’t understand.

Thursday – 2 Corinthians 4:7–12

God’s power shines through fragile vessels.

We are jars of clay carrying eternal treasure. Weakness does not disqualify us—it magnifies God’s strength. God uses ordinary people to display extraordinary grace.

Prayer:
God, use my weakness to display Your power.

Friday – Philippians 1:6

God finishes what He starts.

This promise anchors us in hope. God’s work in us is ongoing and intentional. Transformation takes time, but God is faithful.

Prayer:
Lord, help me trust Your ongoing work in my life.

WEEK OF FEBRUARY 2 – WHEN OBEDIENCE HURTS

Monday – Jeremiah 20:7–13

Faithfulness can be costly.

Jeremiah feels the weight of obedience, yet he cannot stop proclaiming God’s Word. God’s call sustains even when obedience brings pain. Faithfulness is often forged through struggle.

Prayer:
Lord, give me strength to remain faithful when obedience is costly.

Tuesday – Psalm 69:1–9

God hears the cries of the faithful.

The psalmist’s lament echoes Jeremiah’s pain. God welcomes honest prayers born from suffering. Lament is not a lack of faith but an act of trust.

Prayer:
God, help me bring my pain honestly before You.

Wednesday – Matthew 5:10–12

Blessed are those who endure for righteousness.

Jesus reminds us that suffering for faith aligns us with God’s kingdom. God sees what the world rejects. Faithfulness is never wasted.

Prayer:
Jesus, help me endure with joy and hope.

Thursday – 1 Peter 4:12–16

Suffering refines our faith.

Peter encourages believers not to be surprised by trials. God uses hardship to shape perseverance and maturity. Glory follows endurance.

Prayer:
Lord, help me trust You in the midst of hardship.

Friday – Hebrews 12:3

Fixing our eyes on Jesus sustains endurance.

Jesus endured suffering for our sake. Remembering His faithfulness strengthens us to continue. Our perseverance is rooted in His example.

Prayer:
Jesus, strengthen me to endure by fixing my eyes on You.

WEEK OF FEBRUARY 9 – A YOKE AND A WARNING

Monday – Jeremiah 27:1–11

Submission to God brings life.

God calls His people to accept discipline for their good. Resistance only deepens pain. Trusting God’s plan brings restoration.

Prayer:
God, help me submit to Your will with trust.

Tuesday – Jeremiah 28:15–17

False hope leads to destruction.

Hananiah’s message comforts but deceives. God’s truth may be hard, but it leads to life. Discernment protects our faith.

Prayer:
Lord, help me discern truth from deception.

Wednesday – Matthew 11:28–30

Jesus offers a gentle yoke.

Jesus invites us to rest in Him. His yoke leads to freedom, not burden. True peace is found in surrender.

Prayer:
Jesus, teach me to walk in Your rest.

Thursday – Galatians 1:6–9

Guard the truth of the gospel.

Paul warns against distorted messages. Faithfulness requires discernment and courage. God’s truth does not change.

Prayer:
Lord, anchor me firmly in the truth of Your Word.

Friday – Colossians 2:6–8

Stay rooted in Christ.

Growth flows from remaining connected to Christ. False teaching distracts and distorts. Stability comes from walking faithfully with Jesus.

Prayer:
Jesus, help me remain rooted in You.

WEEK OF FEBRUARY 16 – HOPE IN THE MIDST OF RUIN

Monday – Jeremiah 30:1–11

God’s discipline is never the final word.

God promises restoration beyond judgment. Hope rises even in brokenness. God’s faithfulness outlasts failure.

Prayer:
God, help me trust Your promises when life feels uncertain.

Tuesday – Jeremiah 31:31–34

God writes His law on our hearts.

God promises a new covenant marked by forgiveness and transformation. Renewal flows from grace, not effort.

Prayer:
Lord, renew my heart through Your grace.

Wednesday – Romans 8:18–25

Future glory outweighs present suffering.

Paul reminds us that suffering is temporary. God’s promises sustain hope amid pain.

Prayer:
God, help me endure with hope anchored in You.

Thursday – Revelation 21:1–5

God makes all things new.

God promises a future without pain or loss. This hope reshapes how we live today.

Prayer:
Lord, help me live with hope rooted in Your future promises.

Friday – Lamentations 3:31–33

God’s compassion never fails.

Even in discipline, God’s mercy remains. His love endures beyond sorrow.

Prayer:
God, thank You for Your steadfast love.

WEEK OF FEBRUARY 23 – FAITH THAT ACTS

Monday – Jeremiah 32:6–15

Faith obeys even when it doesn’t make sense.

Jeremiah purchases land amid destruction, trusting God’s promise. Faith acts on God’s Word despite uncertainty.

Prayer:
Lord, help me trust You enough to obey boldly.

Tuesday – Hebrews 11:8–12

Faith steps forward trusting God’s promise.

Abraham obeyed without knowing the outcome. Faith grows through obedience.

Prayer:
God, help me trust You step by step.

Wednesday – James 2:14–18

Genuine faith produces action.

Faith is visible through obedience. God calls us to live what we believe.

Prayer:
Lord, help my faith be evident through my actions.

Thursday – Luke 16:10–13

Faithfulness begins with small things.

God values integrity in everyday obedience. Small faithfulness leads to greater trust.

Prayer:
God, help me honor You in daily faithfulness.

Friday – Proverbs 3:5–6

Trusting God directs our paths.

God invites us to lean not on understanding but on trust. Surrender leads to clarity.

Prayer:
Lord, guide my steps as I trust You fully.

WEEK OF MARCH 2 – THE POINT OF NO RETURN

Monday – Jeremiah 34:8–17

Delayed obedience is disobedience.

God confronts broken promises. Half-hearted obedience reveals hardened hearts.

Prayer:
God, help me obey fully and promptly.

Tuesday – Jeremiah 36:1–8

God’s Word demands response.

God commands His Word to be written and read. Ignoring God’s Word hardens hearts.

Prayer:
Lord, give me a heart responsive to Your Word.

Wednesday – Hebrews 3:7–15

Today is the day to respond.

God calls for immediate obedience. Delayed response leads to hardened hearts.

Prayer:
God, help me respond to You today.

Thursday – Romans 1:18–25

Rejecting truth leads to darkness.

Turning from God distorts worship and life. God calls us back to truth.

Prayer:
Lord, guard my heart from drifting away from You.

Friday – Galatians 6:7–9

We reap what we sow.

God’s justice and grace work together. Faithful perseverance leads to life.

Prayer:
God, help me persevere in faithful obedience.

WEEK OF MARCH 9 – FROM TEARS TO HOPE

Monday – Lamentations 1:1–5

Grief acknowledges loss honestly.

Lament opens the door for healing. God meets us in sorrow.

Prayer:
Lord, help me bring my grief honestly to You.

Tuesday – Lamentations 3:19–26

Hope rises from remembering God’s faithfulness.

God’s mercies are new each morning. Hope is anchored in His steadfast love.

Prayer:
God, renew my hope through Your mercy.

Wednesday – Psalm 126

God turns mourning into joy.

Restoration brings rejoicing. God redeems tears into testimony.

Prayer:
Lord, restore joy where sorrow has lived.

Thursday – John 16:20–22

Sorrow gives way to joy in Christ.

Jesus promises joy beyond suffering. Resurrection transforms grief.

Prayer:
Jesus, help me trust Your promise of joy.

Friday – Revelation 22:1–5

God’s presence completes our hope.

Eternal life flows from God’s presence. Hope finds fulfillment in Him.

Prayer:
God, anchor my hope in Your eternal promises.
